WE RUN FOR THE KIDS

If you're looking for a race where 100% of the proceeds go towards children programs, you found it.

Kiwanis of Mitchell funds programs for children in Mitchell, surrounding communities, and around the world. Proceeds from the run are used to fund programs such as Girls on the Run, Kiwanis Woodlot Park, Bike Safety event, scholarships, Eliminate Project, youth baseball, youth soccer, and more. A major portion of this year's funds goes to the first accessible playground in Mitchell at Kiwanis Woodlot Park.

WE RUN SO THEY CAN PLAY!

CHOOSE YOUR RACE

The Palace City Kiwanis Run is offering FOUR race options.

Half Marathon.

The Half Marathon course begins with a loop through the city streets of Mitchell and then brings you past the start line in front of the World's Only Corn Palace, where you'll be cheered on by spectators, friends and family before heading out to circle beautiful Lake Mitchell. There will be water stations approximately every two miles or less with multiple portable toilets along the entire route.

Prizes awarded to the top 3 male and female finishers as well as top person in each age group.
10K/5K

Half Relay.

That's right... a Half Marathon 2-person Relay! The route for the half marathon relay is the same as the individual half marathon. The first runner will begin in front of the World's Only Corn Palace. The second runner will be bussed from the Corn Palace to the half-way point of the race. Due to the limited space at the half way point, all runners will need to be bussed. Thanks in advance for your help and cooperation!

Limited to 20 teams.
A 10K! The route for the 10K will start out following the route of the 5K with added distance. The route will start in front of the Corn Palace, loop through the city streets of Mitchell taking you past Mitchell's Cadwell Sports Complex, looping the bypass area twice before heading back to finish in front of the Corn Palace.

A 5K! The route for the 5K will start in front of the Corn Palace and loop through the city streets of Mitchell taking you past Mitchell's Cadwell Sports Complex and then head back to finish in front of the Corn Palace!
