The route for the half marathon relay is the same as the individual half marathon. The first runner will begin in front of the World's Only Corn Palace. The second runner will be bussed from the Corn Palace to the half-way point of the race.

Due to the limited space at the half way point, all runners will need to be bussed. Thanks in advance for your help and cooperation!

HALF MARATHON RELAY RUNNERS

1st Runner:

  • ​Start at the Corn Palace & Head North to 7th Street
  • Turn Left/West on 7th to Minnesota Street
  • Right/North on Minnesota St to 23rd (Cemetary Rd)
  • Right/East at 23rd & Go East to Hwy 37
  • Turn Left/North on Hwy 37 to North Harmon (Kibbee Park)
  • Left/West at North Harmon & follow North Harmon around to Nat'l Guard Road
Turn Left/West at Nat'l Guard Road & continue to follow lake around to the west end Lions Club Park

NOTE: Photos will be taken at the 1st West End Bridge - make sure you run across it to get your pic

ADDITIONAL NOTE: At the 2nd West End Bridge, make sure you follow the sidewalk across the 2nd bridge, past the water station & then you will cut through the gravel path to the half way strip. ALL half runners run across the strip to get your splits. You will meet your 2nd Runner on the other side (someone will direct you) for the exchange.

2nd Runner:

You will tag off (cross the timing strip) and follow the lake around
  • When you reach Ohlman Street (this is a 3 way corner and someone will be there to direct you) - veer to the left onto South Harmon and follow the South Harmon Loop.
  • Turn Left/South off S. Harmon and onto Ohlman Street and head South until the Lakeview Golf Course entrance where you will turn left and then right onto the bike path which continues through the community garden/cemetery area.
  • You will come out on 23rd St. and turn left/east to Minnesota Street
  • Right/South on Minnesota to 15th St.
  • Right/West on 15th to Bypass
  • Left/South on Bypass to 8th St.
  • Left/East on 8th St. to Minnesota St.
  • Right/South on Minnesota St. to 7th St.
  • Left/East on 7th St to Main St.
  • Right/South on Main to the Finish Line
